I’ve been swinging a hammer since…well…that’s a picture of me working on my hammer skills when I was maybe two with my dad!

I’ve built new homes and gutted and rehabbed old ones. I’ve also rehabbed boats, built out a few vans, made a whole host of climbing walls, and in general just love to build!

Despite growing up around construction, I didn’t value it as much as I do now. Probably my teenage angst!

I went a different path for a decade + where I taught high school science in public schools, worked as a medic, and did biology field research. All fun stuff, but I always kept coming back to building!

I also went to architecture school which was fun!

Public service, though, is in my blood, so I offer up my services for free a couple of times a month to people who can use the help. Fixed income elderly, non-profit businesses, and just people in need.

If you or someone you know is interested in this service, let me know! The only cost is materials…and even that I’m working to get donations to cover. Once that’s more solid I’ll roll it out here and see how it goes.

Communities are only as strong as the people in them, let’s keep ours as happy and healthy as we can, and that includes the homes that people inhabit!
